Aparna A Banka

Aparna was born and raised in India. She did her Undergraduate studies in India and Master’s degree in Birmingham U.K. She moved to the US in 2003 where she began pursuing her CPA degree. Montessori has been around Aparna and her family for many years now. Her son currently also goes to an AMI Montessori School. Stepping Stone Montessori is a dream venture for Aparna and her family and has been launched in the name of her beloved brother, who is no longer with them. This institute has been created with lots of love, care and hope for a bright future. Aparna has been working successfully in a family run Apparel business for the past 10 years and has now embarked on this new journey of her life.

Cathy Mauragas

Cathy has over 35 years of experience in Preschool Education and the Child Care industry. She has been a teacher in every classroom over the years, as well as, a director for the past 20 years. Cathy believes that the first five years of a child’s life is when the true groundwork for all possible future achievements is made. She is very excited to be a part of a community and philosophy that embraces the child as an individual, recognizes their natural abilities, and encourages life skills; components that build character, self-esteem, and independence.

Chandra Roy

Ms Chandra is a Primary Guide at SSMS. In her words, she says: ” I am a PAMS Certified Montessori Primary Teacher. I have a Bachelor’s Degree with a Major in English and a Minor in Psychology. I have done business computing from Sydney, Australia. I am passionate about teaching. I believe that a teacher has tremendous responsibility and enormous power to mold the future generation! I am also passionate about cooking. I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu as a Pastry Chef, and have worked at Ritz Carlton. I have also worked with high school students as a Culinary Arts teacher. I have a loving husband who is a Software Engineer. My daughter has recently graduated and she is working in San Francisco. She is also a Software Engineer like her dad!”

Nachammai Laxmi Rengenath

Ms Nachammai is a Primary Guide at SSMS. In her words, she says: ” My name is Nachammai Laxmi Rengenath. I completed Bachelor of Arts & Master of Arts in Literature and it’s been 13years since I moved from India to US. My older son went to a Montessori school in Alpharetta and I volunteered to read books for children in the school. I observed the hand on experience of the Montessori materials and the freedom and discipline in the class. Most of all peace and concentration in the children, then inquired about the Montessori training and pursued it. I have successfully received my AMI training. My husband works in an IT company. I have two children and my younger child goes to the stepping stone Montessori, Suwanee. He has grown and transformed beautifully from Primary to the lower elementary program.”

Angie Yonzon is a Toddler Guide at SSMS. She has a Master’s degree in History and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from India. She is currently attending the Montessori Teacher Education Institute in Atlanta to receive her AMS Credential for Infant Toddler (birth to 3) program. Angie was influenced to become a Montessori Guide once she was exposed to the serenity of the Montessori environment and witnessed the focus and concentration of the children in the classroom. Angie began as a preschool teacher in India and then taught history at the high school level for several years before moving to the USA. In her free time, Angie likes to be outdoors and loves to read books.

Liliana Daza

Liliana Lemos is the Lead Teacher of our Toddler I Community (Orchid room). She was born and raised in Colombia, South America. She holds a Birth to Three-Year-Old credential from the American Montessori Society as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Nursery Education and Criminal Justice, and she has three years of experience in the Montessori classroom. Liliana lives in Forsyth County, GA with her husband and three children. Her passion is to teach and guide children to reach independence through nurturing, guidance, and practical experiences. When she is not teaching she enjoys, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

 

 

Jessica Rosa

Jessica Rosa

Jessica Rosa has been with SSMS in our Infant Room for 2 years. She has been teaching infants for 10 years. She has her Child Development Associate Certificate in Infant/Toddler. Jessica loves being with the infants. She chose the Montessori Method because she truly believes in the value of a Montessori education. Her goal as an infant teacher is to “help my babies grow into independent, happy and thriving toddlers.” The Montessori philosophy supports Jessica’s belief in helping babies help themselves. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family.
